Edinburgh Nineteenth-Century Research Seminars (NCRS) is an interdisciplinary research project first started by Freya Spoor in the Edinburgh College of Art, Laura Mair in the School of Divinity and the School of History, Classics, and Archaeology, and Gena McNutt and Stephanie Hicks in the School of Literatures, Languages, and Cultures. The seminars have run every year since 2014, supported by the University of Edinburgh's Student-Led Initiative Fund. NCRS brings together postgraduate researchers in many different aspects of the nineteenth-century, creating a diverse, illuminating and friendly environment in which to share, develop and strengthen our interests. The seminars will take place upon a monthly basis. Each seminar will consist of two to three papers: one paper from a University of Edinburgh-based researcher and one paper from a researcher based in another higher education institution. The seminars are followed by abundant open discussion. |
